Palestinians Have Not Earned a State

Anger is the best fuel, and the latest atrocity, a homicide bombing killing 19 in Jerusalem put me over the top. The striped-pants set in our State Department are all agog about giving these pathetic losers (the Palestinians, not the diplomats...) a notional state before there is anything like a cease fire. Of course, this rewards terrorism, but consistency has never really been our strong suit.

Does anyone actually believe that the Palestinians would, if given a state, lay down their arms? Or, is it not possible that they would (shock!) import armaments a la Karine A, only this time, legally as a sovereign "nation." Not only is it possible, it's almost a dead-solid lock to happen. The Palestinians are violence sluts, and can't stop doing it.

Even if the "government" of a Palestinian state should resist the temptation to arm itself, they just have not earned the right to statehood. They have not built; they have destroyed. Palestinians make great gastarbeiters in the rest of the Arab world; they swamp out toilets and do the menial stuff. At at home, what they do is kill Israeli civilians, run like cowards from engagement with Israeli troops, and take graft. The best that can be hoped for is that they be placed under Jordanian rule, perhaps as part of loose federation with the Hashemite Kingdom (Jordan), but with absolute iron-clad control by Jordan in close cooperation with Israel.
